1500 children inspired by Music in Action’s Outreach Programme in Liberation Festival

The sixteenth Liberation International Music Festival marks the largest event organised by the charity Music in Action. Alongside the public events open to 2000 festival attendees, 28 educational masterclasses and school workshops with over 1500 children benefiting from the festival have taken place. A huge thank you to a trust for their support.

Education and inspiring islanders are at the forefront of the aims of the charity Music in Action. All the major stars are asked to take part in educational masterclasses or workshops. 

Masquerade Ball raises funds for educational work of Music in Action

On 15th September the most stunning Masquerade Ball was organised by charity Music in Action at Government House supporting Music in Action’s work with disadvantaged children. In the presence of His Excellency Vice-Admiral Kyd the night looked back to the Venetian court, masked balls in Vienna, and the Phantom of the Opera.  

Showcasing some of the finest musical talents including those of Brodie on the prestigious Young Artists Programme, the evening celebrated the amazing music provision by charity Music in Action. Guests were delighted with a flashmob by Janvrin School, fine cuisine provided by Jersey Kitchen, to dancing to the soulful tunes of Jersey Bounce.

And to top it all the Ball raised over £30,000 from the raffle and auction. Thank you so much for your support and for giving so generously.

Great Gatsby Ball raises funds for educational work of Music in Action

On 17th June the most stunning Great Gatsby Ball was organised by charity Music in Action at Government House supporting Music in Action’s work with disadvantaged children. In the presence of His Excellency and Lady Dalton the night looked back to the roaring twenties, and was the first Ball to be held at Government House for over 10 years.

Showcasing some of the finest musical talents including those on the prestigious Young Artists Programme, the evening celebrated the amazing music provision by charity Music in Action. Guests were delighted with the Chicago cast in a twenties flashmobs, fine cuisine provided by Harpers, to dancing to the jazzy beats of Retro Grammophone. And to top it all the Ball raised over £10,000 from the raffle and auction. Thank you for your support.
